Reston, VA, August 25, 2008 - On August 21st, Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG) cyber security engineer, John Brown, was recognized by the Transportation Security Administration with the award of Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) of the Year for his diligent support improving the security posture of TSA’s enterprise IT infrastructure. One week later, John was selected as the DHS ISSO of the Year in an announcement at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Security Conference and Workshop in Baltimore, MD. Each year DHS selects only one ISSO from all 22 DHS component organizations for this honor. Mr. Brown was the first ISSO from TSA to receive the coveted DHS award.
