Knowledge Consulting Group to Provide TSA with Information Assurance Support Services Reston, VA, July 31, 2006 - Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG), a leading professional IT services firm, today announced that it has been awarded a $20 million Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide Information Assurance Support Services (IASS) to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Information Technology Security Office. The IT Security Office, within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), is the IT security oversight arm for TSA, providing focused and efficient management of the IT security activities necessary to protect the TSA IT Infrastructure. Under the terms of the five-year BPA, KCG information assurance experts will support the TSA OCISO, the Director of IT Security, and the Office of the Chief Information Officer with independent IASS and direct related support services. Under the first Task Order, worth approximately $3.4 million in the first calendar year, KCG personnel will begin providing on-site support to TSA within the next 30 days. “TSA plays a central role in our nation’s homeland security by protecting our transportation system,” says Maryann Hirsch, President, KCG. “Information quality, and importantly its integrity and security, are critical to TSA’s mission success.
