Tom Sanders comes to Knowledge Consulting Group with over 25 years of leadership experience in the federal technology market. Prior to joining KCG, Tom served as Chief Operating Officer for PlanetGov.com. Tom's responsibilities included management and financial responsibility for all professional services, product sales, site development and operations, site content, and marketing-a total of 180 professionals and $195M in sales. During his tenure, PlanetGov.COM product/services profitability grew over 33%, and audience development at the site grew to 800,000 site hits per day and over 25,000 visitors per day. Prior to joining PlanetGov.com, Tom served as President and Senior Vice President of Federal Sources, Inc., the leading market research firm serving the Public IT market. Tom's responsibilities at Federal Sources included sales, marketing, finance, and line operations. This included supporting a client base of over 8,000 subscribers via the Internet site, and strategic consulting support to a client base of over 200 product/services organizations delivering technology solutions to the public sector. Tom also served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Dyncorp, a leading supplier of technology solutions to the government. At Dyncorp, Tom was responsible for all business development and sales for Dyncorp's $600M technology business, which focused on delivering program management and system engineering solutions. Successes include closing over $1B of new contract sales, and new task order sales in excess of $90M per year. Tom began his career with Computer Sciences Corporation and spent over 8 years in technical support and sales positions serving the Federal government market. Tom has a BS in Business Administration from Long Island University and a MS in Technology of Management from American University. |
