Vice President, Civilian Programs and Technology Partnerships
Scott Ackerman serves as Vice President, Civilian Programs and Technology Partnerships at Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG). Scott currently has operational responsibility for KCG’s business with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and provides oversight and management to all of KCG’s technology partnerships to include professional services delivery. In this capacity, he provides tasking and direction to meet customer schedules and budget needs, to include customer interface with Contracting Officer Technical Representatives/Contracting Officer Representatives, Project Management Plan (PMP) development and maintenance, as well and the inherent management of project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), personnel management, contract management, and resource allocation.
Scott has over 18 years of experience in the government IT market, to include over eight years in the government cybersecurity market. He has a proven track record of successful customer engagements within the federal market.
Prior to joining KCG, Scott provided operational management of commercial customers for CIBER, Inc. In this capacity, Scott was responsible for business development, client relationships, contract management, and personnel management for over 60 employees. Before CIBER, he was employed at Business Impact Systems, where he served as the Operations Division Manager for the American Red Cross (ARC), managing the deployment and daily operations for the first Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated blood tracking system, National Biomedical Computer System (NBSC).
Scott received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University. He also possesses a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
