Matt Brown

Vice President, Homeland Security Programs

Matt Brown serves as Vice President, Homeland Security Programs for Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG).  Matt supports all aspects of managing and delivering KCG's cybersecurity professional services.  He assists with the development and maintenance of KCG's entire portfolio of cybersecurity service offerings and is the managing executive for KCG's largest operational unit, the Homeland Security practice.  He is responsible for building mutually beneficial customer and partner relationships and maintaining KCG's extraordinary client retention rate and customer satisfaction levels.

Matt comes to KCG with over 14 years of IT and information security consulting experience.  He is a highly experienced manager of large information security operations for public sector clients.  Throughout his career, Matt has held several managerial and executive positions for leading IT and information security consulting firms in the Washington, DC area. 

Prior to KCG, Matt served as general manager for Business Impact Systems (later acquired by CIBER, Inc.), where he was responsible for all aspects of business operations and contract performance.  Matt specialized in leading information security, business process re-engineering, and enterprise operations programs for public sector clients, including the Department of Defense and the U.S. Postal Service.  Before leaving BIS/CIBER, Matt was responsible for managing CIBER's largest Washington, DC-based account overseeing 55+ engineers, supporting a Fortune 100 customer. 

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology and Master of Business Administration with an Information Security concentration from James Madison University.  He also holds several industry standard security certifications.
